Goals & scope

It is a great pleasure to announce the II International Forum on Management to be held on 16-17 February 2018 at the University of the Algarve, Penha Campus, Faro.

Since its beginning,  the  International Forum on Management (IFM) has been a tri-party initiative  of  University of the Algarve,  Open University of Portugal and  Estoril Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies. This conference is an opportunnity for networking and knowledge sharing  on management and  other social sciences. 

Being a forum it has as its main objective to mobilize the scientific, academic and professional community, both national and international, to think critically  and contribute to the dissemination of scientific knowledge, development of good organizational practices and formulation of public policies. Therefore, this is an excelent opportunity to share your work by submitting proposals for papers, symposiums, oral communications and posters. Your participation is  decisive for the diversity and quality of the II International Forum on Management, Global Management: From Theory to Practice.

For the second edition of IFM we choose "Management and Competitiveness of Tourism Destinations" as the main topic because of the  growing social and economic relevance  of Tourism for many nations, as well as its growing scientific relevance within social sciences.

The organizing committee is working hard and enthusiastically to receive you at the University of Algarve and so that you can enjoy two  fruitful days in terms of knowledge sharing and networking.

Combining all of the above with the Algarve′s landscape, its beaches and its climate (although we do not control the weather....), we can anticipate an outstanding  scientific event.
